Yeh.
At the start of this i had planned to have a Harry Potter theme birthday party, so i sent out the invites, and everyone seemed excited. I was going to go as Harry and had got my costume all sorted. RSVP was on the 16 January and everyone had said that they could come before that so i got busy planning. Lucky for me i was yet to buy the decorations because two days before the party the excuses began.
Number One - " im really sorry but i cant come to your birthday party" at first i wasn't that annoyed because she had a legit excuse and it was only one person so it was fine.
So i texted my other friends to see if they could still come, even though i had sent out invites ages ago two people still hadn't organised rides, i realize that they probably didn't wanna come and were just making up excuses to not let me down. I told them i get a ride sorted for them so that wasn't a problem.
Then people decided that they didn't want to dress up and only about 3 of us were so i decided to cancel the theme to the party and just have a normal birthday party even though i had been planning this for a while now.
The day before the party another girl couldn't come due to having to babysit or something like that.
That night i brought all the food and drink and had it all sorted, i couldn't cancel the party now because i had everything sorted, if i had known earlier that hardly anyone was going to come i would have just cancelled it.
On the day of the party someone texted me at twelve and said they couldn't come.
There was only 5 of us now.
Two hours before the party another girl told me she couldn't come.
4 of us now.
Half n hour before the party once again someone else couldn't come. I had got tired of the excuses and didn't even bother reading them.
Is there something wrong with me? Do people not like me?
It ended up just being me,Heidi and Holley. Even though Holley had to work at 8 the next morning and could only stay for a while she still made the effort to come out but the rest of my friends couldn't even do that. Some friends i have.
Even though there was only a few of us we just had a few drinks and it was actually a lot of fun. I found it better having a small group then a large group and to the rest of the group, i won't bother trying to do anything fun again.
